There are four standing committees. The Legislative Committee meets ongoing to address continually evolving policy and legislation through each session. The other three committees are activitated through a joint membership decision to address a particular issue or at the request of members with local a specific local issue in need of broader, regional advocacy. If the latter is the case, then there needs to be volunteers from the local community willing to serve on the appropriate committee as well as a consensus of agreement on the issue at the local level.
